Juicy Burger Fest is less than two weeks away, and to get you as pumped as we are about the fest, let's take a look at all the banging entertainment we've got in store at XidianJiYi Funstown from May 31 to Jun 2. This year’s lineup is packed with an electrifying mix of bands, DJs, interactive performances and competitions that will keep the energy high all day long.

Music

SPIRIT REBELLIOUS

More than just a band, SPIRIT REBELLIOUS is a movement. They are storytellers, weaving lyrical narratives that speak to the shared experiences of humanity: love, loss, struggle, and hope. Their music is an invitation to connect, to celebrate life's journey, and to find solace in the universal language of reggae. Expect energetic live performances that will get your heart pumping and your feet moving.

With Saso on lead vocals, Van G on bass, Binoy Yakha on lead guitar, Kibala Emmanual on drums, David Yang on keys and Antonio Originale Di Criscio on drums, SPIRIT REBELLIOUS is all about creating a community – a space where everyone feels welcome to come together, share their stories, and be uplifted by the power of music. Wander Rave by Bandulu

Born to artistic parents and raised between France and China, Bandulu is a DJ, producer, and sound explorer blending reggae, dub, drum & bass, and UK bass into hypnotic, groove-heavy sets. He has spent years shaping immersive musical experiences, from underground electro nights in Lyon to high-energy performances across Europe and Asia. His Wander Rave concept breaks the DJ booth barrier. Armed with a mobile setup, he brings spontaneous performances to streets, parks and rooftops, making electronic music radically accessible.

For Burger Fest, Wander Rave will transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Expect a roaming, bass-fueled experience where the line between performer and crowd dissolves. No stage, no limits – just pure, unfiltered connection through sound.

AFRO-GENTS

AFRO-GENTS is a band of diverse style, talent and cultural background that will bring an Afro-fusion vibe to the stage. The Gents play a multitude of musical genres including jazz, R&B, neo soul, blues, reggae and Afro-beats, with the latter being its main genre. Afro-fusion is a genre that merges other styles of music such as R&B, reggae and hip-hop with traditional Afro-beats.

Cold Summer

Born from a shared love for rock music and a thirst for creative expression, Cold Summer emerged as a force to be reckoned with. Hailing from Greece, China, Australia, Russia and Colombia, this band of friends united their diverse backgrounds and musical influences to craft a sound that is both familiar and refreshing. With Theo on vocals, Clancy on bass, Ashwood and Alex on the guitars and Felipe on drums, they bring everything from electrifying covers to soul-stirring originals. Cold Summer expects to captivate audiences with their raw energy and unwavering passion for the craft.

Permission Slips

The Permission Slips aren't just a band – they're a middle-aged science experiment. Comprised of parents (and one suspiciously talented sixth-grader who may or may not be there against her will), this ragtag crew from the Western Academy of Beijing set out to answer the musical question “Can old dogs learn new tricks?” Armed with guitars, drums, a violin and a setlist that spans from the '60s to today (or as they call it, “the scary new music the kids listen to”), they're here to prove that rock 'n' roll isn't dead — it's just on life support, sustained by caffeine and parental desperation.

Sofistokated

Sofistokated is a band of rockers and metal heads. Rock 'n' roll is life, and they bring it to the stage. They turn pop music into heavy music, recreating good times, and they love paying tribute to their favorite bands. With band members from all over the world, their styles are blended into an amazing experience. Catch them at Juicy Burger Fest as they bring the noise and the tunes.

Somninote

The winner of last year's Battle of the Bands, Sominote is a student band from Keystone Academy with Jeffery on vocals and guitar, Richard on guitar, Terry on drums and Luke on bass. In the contest, not only did they win the title of Beijing’s Best International High School Band, but they also won the prize for Best Singer and Best Drummer. They cover a range of of indie pop hits from bands like deca joins and No Party for Cao Dong.

Broken Heaven

Broken Heaven is a student band from the school YCIS (Yew Cheng International School). They consist of four members and have a passion for rock and emo music. They do mostly cover songs but occasionally dabble in original music whenever they find time to sit together and write. The current lineup consists of Cissy, the 16-year-old lead English Chinese vocalist with a loud voice and louder personality; guitarist Sasha, a Russian Year 11 student with a passion for emo music and rocking out; and drummer Alex, who is 16 but has the skill set of someone with years of experience and is extremely proficient on his instrument. The band's bassist is not yet consistent, but currently the role is occupied by their teacher Lindsay Stevenson. Broken Heaven is a band with angsty stage presence that promises to bring a fiery energy to the fest.

Dancing

ZUMBA Party

Hi燃派对 will be leading a high-energy Zumba party at the fest so that you can burn off some of those calories from all the burgers you'll be eating! Hi燃派对 is centered around dopamine-boosting workouts, bringing together top international instructors to deliver large-scale, immersive sweat sessions. Since its founding in 2021, it has hosted hundreds of major events nationwide.

Juicy Burger Fest will be taking place at XidianJiYi Funstown May 31-Jun 2 from 11am to 9pm. Standard Early Bird Tickets are RMB 25, Premium Early Bird Tickets are RMB 35, VIP Tickets are RMB 100 and Standard/On-Site Tickets are RMB 35. The Venue

This year's Juicy Burger Fest will be returning once again to XidianJiYi Funstown, and here's a bit more information about this great cultural hub.
